Not for certificated aircraft, experimental use only, use at your own risk.
This gasket may help solve the issue of rear facing NAV light visibility for aircraft that do not have provisions for tail lights, such as the Yakovlev-52, or the majority of tube and fabric aircraft produced in the US.
This 2mm thick gasket/spacer fits AeroLED's 650 and 660 series wing nav lights and should also fit Whelen 660 series.
As a gasket, this can be 3D printed in Thermalplastic Polyurthane (TPU) to form a sealing gasket.
As a spacer it can be printed from an array or a combination of filaments, including TPU, ASA, PA6-CF, PPS-CF or a glass fiber reinforced filament. My recommendation would be PPS-CF if your printer can handle it, along with an integrated TPU gasket on either end for water tightness. 2mm is the thickness of the provided file, I can scale this up or down as needed and have pre-made STL files available through 5mm, just send me a message if you need a different thickness and I'll send it via email.
